I will dominate 'serious fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
